Trigger´s lover letter to all anime and Sentai fan´s!

by

One of the best series made by studio Trigger!
And one of great surprises from fall season of 2018!
In a close look has a great direction!
Great action scene´s!
Many Tributes to the original Gridman series (and even for the english adaption: Super Human Samurai Syber Squad)and even has´s other´s varied tribute´s just as: Evangelion going through Ultraman.
A very smart script and direction ho make every image and every word in the series has some special mensage or a hidden tribute and that to be honest, it´s part of the fun!
If you love Tokusatsu (sentai/solo hero or power rangers/super sentai), anime and action series?
It´s a perfect series for you!
Even has a plus!
You can see this series and understand it perfectly whitout see original Gridman or SSSS Super Human Samurai.

Love letter to Tokusatsu

by -

This anime is one of the ultimate nostalgia trips for anyone who grew up with series like power rangers/kamen rider. Absolute love letter to the genre by trigger, with excellent animation and a surprisingly heartfelt story to go along with it.

A Tokusatsu Series with a Twist

by -

Studio Trigger delivers us another outstanding series with this loving tribute to the Tokusatsu genre.

When I watched this series for the first time, I had no idea about the existence of the original live action Gridman series or of its American adaptation. Fortunately you don't need to see either series in question in order to understand what's going on in this anime. If you've seen at least a little bit of any series from franchises such as Ultraman, Kamen Rider, or Super Sentai (Power Rangers), you're set.

Of course the thing that really makes this anime work is that it puts a bit of a twist on things. Almost immediately we realize the world this series is set in is not what it seems, and the truth when it's finally revealed is a little bit of a head-trip. There are a couple of parts that I wish had been expanded upon with a little bit of backstory, but the overall execution of the series is brilliant.
