About SK8 the Infinity Blu-ray

SK8 the Infinity contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Hiroko Utsumi and includes a special booklet.

"Skating with you is Infinity."

Reki, a high school sophomore and skater, is addicted to “S,” a highly secret and dangerous downhill skateboarding race that takes place in an abandoned mine. The skaters are especially wild about the "beefs," or heated battles that erupt in the races.

Reki takes Langa, a transfer student returning to Japan after studying abroad, to the mine where the races are held. Langa, who has no skateboarding experience, finds himself pulled into the world of “S”...

From skaters who play dirty to AI-controlled skaters and even backstabbers, the intense, unpredictable skate battles brimming with endless possibilities are about to begin!

This exciting coming-of-age story was created by an all-star team featuring Hiroko Utsumi (Director), Ichiro Ohkouchi (Series Composition/Screenplay), Michinori Chiba(Character Design), and Bones (Animation Production), so don’t miss it!

Great Series, High Production, but that Aniplex Price Point....

by -

The Good:
Packaging print quality is very good w/ embossed, glossy on matte printing on the outerbox. The Blu-ray case has a sort of clip/locking mechanism and is clear color instead of the normal blue.

The Bad:
Licenced to Aniplex. Not worth the price point. Only 12 Episodes. The only extra is a photobook. I at least expect a hard outerbox? No upgrades to Aniplex packaging after all these years.

Great anime

by -

The price is steep but the case and booklet are gorgeous. And you get to own it for all time, not just while the streamers feel magnanimous. This anime is amazing and the voice actors are having fun in their characters and not just doing another job. The color usage alone is reason enough to watch but the action and score add to it a lot. I was addicted at the first episode. Seriously underrated anime.
