Not a Jojo reference

The anime may not cover the whole series, only stopping before the point where the manga goes completely off the rails (real dinosaurs), it is still worth watching, as people who do battle with supernatural powers. There were strange changes between the versions. The hero only having access to three attacks in the anime, but infinite uses in the manga. It is one of those animes not following the manga, but you won't find tons of filler. It does have that enemy of the week format, but there are enough of them to keep you interested.

Great original series!

Great bluray for a classic series! Just wanted to point out this was an original anime and the manga came much later.

One of the G.O.A T.s!

Easily one of my favorite series I've ever watched, i can watch this one over and over! The characters are cool, the action is intense, and the final fight between the rivals is so freaking satisfying! If you are an action/shonen fan, then definitely give this one a shot!

A Shonen Classic Returns on BD Format

by -

I'm a big fan of Goro Taniguchi's direction which includes "Planetes", "Code Geass", and the recently released "Back Arrow". Discotek announced they had the rights to "s-CRY-ed" in 1080I / 4:3 BD format, which means no better than 780p video quality, but I still consider this title worth owning as it's a classic shonen anime show full of action, good musical score, and simplistic plot lines. If you enjoyed anime fighting shows as "DBZ", "Yu Yu Hakusho", or "Code Geass" than "s-CRY-ed" should be in your collection alongside those titles as well.

The only slight negative is Discotek stating they couldn't add the two "s-CRY-ed" movies in this TV show because of licensing rights; otherwise, this is a fighting series that deserves your attention as one of the most entertaining Shonen anime series produced.
