An almost perfect release from Media Blasters. Goofy, gory and great!

Media Blasters announced they were coming back with new high-definition releases of older titiles and uncensored mature content. Despite some problems with motion blur and digital artifacts on certain titles, this is a solid release from them... except for the subtitles. I have no idea why you would translate 'senpai' as 'sunbae' and add that to the translation. A lot of the dialogue is loosely translated or rewritten. This isn't high art, it's a gore flick with T&A. Luckily for those who like dubs, there is one included on the disc and fares better than the crappy subtitles. As for the film, it's a reboot/remake of the 2008 film "The Machine Girl" about a girl who loses her arm and attaches a gun to it in order to get revenge on those who amputated her appendage. A lot of b-movie/cult/exploitation homages are in the film and Tak Sakaguchi shows up as well. Definitely a worthwhile buy if you're a fan of this genre.
