Loved it

Such a sweet story. I really liked the development between the two main characters. I can't wait for the second volume to release. Highly recommend if you like Blue Flag, My Summer of You, or I Hear the Sunspot

A beautiful story

by

This limited 2part series made me bawl my eyes out because of the beautiful story telling, the build up and the sweetness of it all. The art style is light and whimsical and just adds to it. A beautiful romantic (little bit of comedy) BL.

Lovely as is, but wanted more

by

I feel very conflicted about giving this 5 stars as it could definitely be a 4 as well. The artwork is gorgeous and really feels like the comfy laziness of being out in the sticks, and the story is very sweet and well written with the characters really coming alive. However, that's what makes me want to knock a star off - as well written as the characters are, I really wanted more internal dialog from them as I don't feel like I fully understand why they fell for each other. I feel like I understand Mitsuomi's viewpoint okay enough, but I don't really get Yamato's - does he like Mitsuomi because of his familial love? His gruff personality? Or is it just fate - maybe Yamato doesn't know himself. Hope we get some additional insight in the sequel.

Heartwarming

by -

This is a really sweet and wholesome story about two people who each find a home with the other as they heal from past circumstances.

I agree with one of the other reviewers in that this volume could be given 4 starts depending on how it's reviewed, but for somewhat different reasons. The pacing of the first half of the volume is a bit rapid for me, where the rate at which one of the characters falls for the other happens quickly and without a much explanation as to why, except perhaps because of the dependability and devotion of their romantic interest. I do tend to prefer slower burns though, so take that with a grain of salt.

With that said, the second half is wonderful with more consistent fleshing out of the two leads as they stumble between friendship and love.
