Slice of Life?

I really enjoy reading how she got into the business, but volume 2 almost felt like it had filler chapters - almost as if they're already running out of ideas for her story? This volume felt like reading slice of life - maybe that's what they were going for? I was hoping for more character or plot development, but I still enjoyed the slow pace with little victories.
