Reborn! Volume 1 Blu-ray
About Reborn! Volume 1 Blu-ray
Reborn! Volume 1 contains episodes 1-101 from Seasons 1-4 of the anime directed by Kenichi Imaizumi in standard definition on two blu-ray discs.
The tenth boss of the Vongola mafia family has been decided, and it's Japanese high school student Tsunayoshi Sawada! ...Also known as "Loser Tsuna." He's not smart, he's not athletic, and he's the furthest thing from cool. But the boys back in Sicily aren't about to let Tsuna stay that way. To make a man out of a boy, they send in the baby—the best hitman in the business, Reborn!
In this collection, the daily life of Tsuna and the people he meets, fights, and grows to trust (amidst zany antics) are contrasted by the deadly battles brought on by arrival seeking to take the Vongola boss position for himself. Then, Tsuna is cast into the future, to deal with a threat that promises to end the Vongola for good.

REBORN! anime finally gets US Blu-Ray release!

One of my favorite animes/manga, can’t wait to own the Blu-Ray with actual English subtitles!
Love it!

I am so happy right now! My favorite series is finally coming to the U.S.!
For those who know nothing of this series, please give it a chance! Following “loser-tsuna” as he grows (reluctantly and very forcefully) into a mafioso is a hilarious, fun, and action-filled journey. When I finished the series for the first time I went back to reread chapter one and honestly barely recognized the characters! Their growth and the overall plot is amazing over the 203 episodes.
That being said, fair warning: the series starts with a long introduction of all the main characters (the first 30 episodes or so, aka “the daily life arc”) before you get to the action of the series. This has turned a lot of people from the series, but it is absolutely worth it to watch! As I said this is my favorite series, and it deserves more recognition over here in the west!
Thank you for bringing it to the US!!

I'm so happy I can finally rewatch one of my all time favorites on Blu-ray!!
It's so rare to find Reborn merch lately since the anime aired a long time ago, but I'm so glad it's still getting the love it deserves!
Not Expecting what i got!

This was my first SD on Bluray purchases and let me tell you i was not looking forward to it. At first i thought they were going to cram all 101 episodes on two duel layer blurays with standard MPEG DVD encoding and AC3 at 192kps. That was what i thought. But ow' boy did it prove me wrong and I'm glad it did! Video was encoded in bluray standard AVC/h.264 with around 2.2-8.9mps could be higher but that was the highest i was able to see on my bluray player. Audio was a bit of a disappointment. It was coded in AC3 (i think) at 448kps stereo so yeah audio is 2.3 times better then DVD but still. Subtitles were bluray standard .sup HD subtitles. They were clear as day! So in the end it was a good purchase and was not expecting what i got!
A Superb Anime for a Spectacular Price

If you don't know about Reborn! (commonly known as Katekyo Hitman Reborn! or KHR for short), it's a fun-filled action-packed anime full of unpredictable fun with a HUGE and diverse cast of characters. Which, to be fair, is where a lot of the fun comes in. And despite the large cast, character development is very much still abundant, which is a bit hard to come by in series with as large a cast as this.
Now, fair forewarning, the tone of what's known as the Daily Life arc and the rest of the series is completely different, with the daily life arc being character driven antics and the rest of the series being more like your standard shounen series.
Once you get through those though the plot is awesome, well thought out, and unpredictable in the best way. So what are you waiting for? Give it a chance!!!!
Part 1 of an almost great show

I had dropped this anime many years ago around episode 35 and I told myself I would get back into it one day. Luckily, I picked up these 2 collections on sale recently and just finished collection 1. For the majority of the show I enjoyed it. The beginning episodes were a bit hard to get through and I didn’t like (and still don’t like) the character Lambo and even main character Tsuna (he does get better somewhat). The show does get better when the fighting starts and especially with the battle for the rings. Long story short, I enjoyed it more when it’s serious and I’m not really fond of the goofy filler-type episodes. It does amaze me how 101 episodes can fit on 2 discs. The picture looked great for the majority of the runtime, with only a few places that looked a little fuzzy. It does leave off in the middle of an arc, so I would recommend getting the 2nd collection as well. 4.5/5 stars
I never thought it would get a US release

Reborn is a great anime, however the first 20ish episodes aren't amazing because the show switched genres from a slice-of-life/comedy to a shounen. Once the shounen arcs hit, it gets SO GOOD. This collection comes with over 100 episodes so it's a great deal. I'd given up hope on a US release and not only did they give us just that they gave us Blu-ray. I am very happy with this release.
