A higher quality release from before

I purchased the first blu ray release of re zero when it first dropped a few years ago and had nothing but poor compression that caused horrendous visual banding and audio quality in the first 2 discs of the series. I am glad to see that all those issues have been fixed with this new release, the video quality is now gorgeous and I can actually hear every word that is said clearly. As a show, Re;Zero is an extremely well written isekai with very well written characters and masterful world building. Honestly one of my favorite works by white fox right after steins;gate.

Re: zero is one of my favorite anime so I can say that this was definitely worth a 5 star the contents of the story are amazing to can't wait till there is a Blu-ray for the seconded season. their is nothing wrong with the disk or the case, the art of the disks and the case was also pretty nice so overall its a nice thing to add to the collection, especially since season 2 will be out sometime soon its better to get this now before it goes out of stock.

A Masterpiece of an Isekai

If you can't take blood and gore, then this isn't the anime for you. However, if you can stomach that, Re:Zero is a masterfully crafted anime. The art, animation, and sound design are all incredible. They directed this show (and the subsequent season 2) so very well. You can tell how much effort was put into its production.

I found the story very engaging, so much so that I immediately re-watched the series after I first watched it. The story is dark and filled with suffering, but that is balanced with hope. Subaru, the main character, can be a real idiot sometimes, but he's very realistic (at times hauntingly so, since his flaws are relatable to many viewers). Admittedly, he can sometimes be too long-winded though.

But yeah, Re:Zero is one of my favorite animes of all time.
