Naturally, I got into Re:Zero through the anime on Crunchyroll first, like most people I know. But, after the series ended and the author said if you want more, get the light novels, I knew exactly where I was going. So, I of course went ahead and preordered volume 2 and just recently got it. As always, the light novels for Re:Zero are an easy, fun read, and the story, in my opinion, is absolutely fantastic. I'm really looking forward to when Yen Press gets to volume 10 in North America so that we're caught up with the anime and start getting new story! Overall, if you loved the anime and want more, this is the way to go!

Basically what the other review says, it's a good read if your really into Re:Zero. ^_^ The novel goes into more detail on what's happening in the story.
Go for it!!

I enjoy Re:Zero so much when I watch the anime. I like reading the novel more better because it's magnificent.
Minus one star because the full color character page in the front introduces both Rem and Ram as "Ram" and this personally drove me crazy. Also I believe, but cannot say so for sure (because I never read the original Japanese novels) that there was an instance or two in which Ram's name was used where Rem's name was supposed to be and vice versa.
Other than that, all the other reviews pretty much describe how I feel.
