The first volume after the anime
by Arin -
This is volume 8 of the "rascal does not dream series." It is the first book that takes place after the anime movie.
It's a much slower book than the last three volumes, but I'm happy about that given how emotionally draining those books were. You get more Kaede development as she's coming to terms with what she wants to do in the future, and some great Mai/Sakuta romantic moments as always. Despite being a slower novel than it's predecessors, there are still plenty of heartfelt moments here.
Regardless this novel is mostly a setup for future arcs, as it introduces a couple of important new characters. As such, we'll see what happens going forward.
