A new perspective

As the source material for the anime, the novel is nothing short from amazing, you get to read character's feelings better than you would in the anime which captivates a better understanding of the world. The illustrations are a treat and very rewarding the farther you read!

The character banter is amazing, especially between the lead characters. Some of the best I have ever read. It's somewhat lighthearted with some heavier themes sprinkled in that make you think.
Highly recommend to all fans of romance, drama, and supernatural. You won't be disappointed with this heartwarming and wholesome novel.
Watched Anime first. Then got light novel afterwards.

I originally watched the anime when it came out and quickly fell in love with the series. When I found out the LN was coming out immediately pre ordered it and was excited to read it. I prefer the LN adaptation because there is more detail on what each character is thinking you normally wouldn't be able to infer from the anime. There is more context and the banter between the leads is enhanced in the LN from that context.
