When Disability Doesn't Mean Inability to Overcome

by -

I completely ignored this anime thinking it was just a kid's show. Then decided to purchase when "Ranking of Kings" won the 'Best Male Character' award in 2022.

While anime does contain violence, it isn't dark as "Dororo" or "Made in Abyss", but still has some sequences that could scare children 12 or under. Studio Wit incorporated colors that gave a 'pastel' style impression, and simple background designs that still looked great in the show. I also was impressed the show used actual 'Sign Language' as I recognized it immediately...nice!

The heartwarming friendship between Bojji and Shadow Ninja Kage was wonderful. Plus, the anime has adventure, good animation, nice soundtrack, replay value, and messaging that physical disabilities doesn't make one "The Useless Prince" at all.

Four Stars here, awaiting the second season finale, and enjoy in 1080p / 16:9 format.

You will not regret this

This quickly became one of my favorite anime last year. I was quick to judge it based on the animation and first episode. It’s worth more than one watch and the world building is fantastic.
