Info dump, fun downtime, new team member
by Kastie -
This volume begins a new arc, so a lot of information is thrown at the reader alongside some relationship filler. I dropped a star because of the stark pacing change and the heavy exposition. The second half makes up for it as Kyutaro and Fumi are joined by a new member on their way to (maybe) train with the old Byakko Clan. The focus is heavy on Kyutaro's state of mind, but the group also gets to have some downtime and fun. It's still a good QQ read, but it feels disjointed and pulled in several directions. In some ways, that could be a reflection on the characters and how Kyutaro's unraveling, but I doubt it was done intentionally.
