This manga needs some more love!

by

This was, by far, one of the best manga I have ever read. Urasawa is the master of suspenseful and intriguing storytelling. This manga follows the story of astroboy, and you get to see the hero through someone else's eyes. It kept me interested every single page. I actually stayed up until 4 in the morning, because I could not put it down. The ending was perfect as well. Brilliant work!

Hands down the best manga collaboration ever.

by -

Nothing compares to seeing a masterful story updated with a new design and incredible suspense and perfect timing. This series is the best of the best and must be experienced to understand that truth. I'm not even a huge sci-fi fan and was deeply moved.

An Epic Start

by -

I couldn't help but finish the first volume in less than an hour because it was that interesting. The tension keeps on building up, the characters introduced are very likeable and not to mention it already takes us on a feels trip.

Urasawa never fails to impress with his great and mature story telling :D

A Sumptuous and Captivating Read from Beginning to End

by

This Manga was one of the most intriguing I've ever read.
It skillfully mixes the wonder of its futuristic setting with the gripping fascination of a murder mystery. I particularly enjoyed it's use of non-human characters to explore a kaleidoscope of emotions. North Number 2's arc wil! Have 90% of readers in tears. I can't wait to read the entire series!

A Must Read For Anyone

by -

Unless you count its CG movie from 2009, I wasn't very familiar with Astro Boy before reading this series. That's probably why it took me so ridiculously long to get around to reading it. I'm glad to say that you don't need to know a SINGLE thing about Astro Boy in order to appreciate Pluto.

I honestly loved this first volume and the whole series in general. It's in my top 3 sci-fi stories I've ever read, and I would even compare it to Blade Runner for its intricate themes. I don't want to say anything about its plot, because I think that it's better to experience Pluto without knowing anything about it. All I'll say is that you will feel extremely attached to its characters, and you won't be able to stop reading it. It's phenomenal, and you should give it a read.

A great start to an interesting story

by -

This volume was an excellent introduction to this story. The art style (as always with Urasawa) is absolutely gorgeous. The subtle world building in this story really draws you in. The characters are also really fleshed out. You learn enough about characters who are in a story for just a few chapters to really care about them when they are gone. The main character is also very interesting as well. I definitely recommend checking this out!

The book itself came in great condition and seems to be very durable.

Amazing Manga that Deserves More Attention

by -

This manga was incredible. I found out about it because of a reddit thread about relatively short manga series. The redditor had given it a pretty good score but I wasn't expecting how good this volume was. I read it in one sitting. The worldbuilding in the volume is subtle and well done. It makes it feel like a real world you could live in. The mystery is well done and the cast of characters that we get introduced to is also quite interesting. North No. 2's story in particular was one that I got attached to and it brought tears to my eyes. The main character, Gesicht, is also quite interesting and I want to learn more about him.
Anyway, I highly recommend this manga. I've already bought the next few volumes and can't wait to read them!
