About Plastic Memories Volume 1 Blu-ray

From the writer of "Steins;Gate," Naotaka Hayashi, comes an original love story!!

"In this moment... I think I've already fallen in love with you, without even knowing your name."

In a world where there were slight scientific advancements...

Tsukasa Mizugaki is offered a position at the renowned SAI Corporation thanks to his father's connections.

SAI Corporation is known for its production and management of androids capable of feeling human emotions called "Giftia."

Tsukasa's position is in the terminal service department where their main job is to recover Giftias who are near their expiration - it is a dead end department in every sense.

To make matters worse, Tsukasa is assigned to work with a female Giftia named Isla, who was never given any responsibility other than serving tea to her co-workers.

Plastic Memories Volume 1 contains episodes 1-7 plus collectible illustration cards, clear BD cases with 2-sided wraps.

Though A Bit Pricey....WORTH IT!

I got my copy of this in the mail yesterday, and it did not disappoint. The box art is beautiful, as are the collectible postcards. I popped the Blurays straight into my PS4 to see how they looked, and you can tell right off the bat that Aniplex put a lot of work and effort into this, which is exactly what Plastic Memories deserves. If you love this anime, as I do, this is definitely worth getting. Looking forward to the release of Vol. 2!

Beautiful! Enchanting Story

I'm on the fence with whether I find this to be a good show or just OK. One day I think I really enjoyed watching it, the next I find myself thinking it was a bit overdone.

Humans and android live together, and when an android's time is up, there is a service that goes to pick them up. This is the role the protagonists take on, with each show having a new android to collect, and folks with their own story with those androids.

When you finally get to the ending, you'll either bawl your eyes out, unless you really don't like the characters at all. You've been warned!

The Blu Ray quality is typical ultra high-quality Aniplex fare. It's expensive for the episode count, but you get uncompressed audio and video quality that sits in the upper 30s, and is made in Japan (which is part of the expense but not all of it).

Got this on sale love it

I love the art cards that came with this, I'd watched the show when it was airing so I already knew I liked it but hadn't had the chance to buy it. Good buy if you like this kind of show, it did make me cry though.
