Pita-Ten DVD
About Pita-Ten DVD
Pita-Ten complete collection contains all 26 episodes of the anime directed by Toshifumi Kawase and Yuzo Sato.
When your neighbor's an angel in training, there's no telling what could happen!
Kotarou used to spend most of his time alone, but when the apprentice angel Misha moves in next door, his life is thrown into chaos. Misha immediately clings to Kotarou, but since she doesn't know much about life on Earth, her “divine intervention” is anything but helpful. She constantly breaks things, gets into trouble, and causes all sorts of misunderstandings.
Now, Kotarou finds himself in one weird situation after another. Where will he end up next? The accidental lead in a school play? Literally glued to his friends? The victim of a voodoo doll? Who knows, but at least he won't be bored!

cute show made for children but not really written for children
by potato
this show was originally marketed towards younger viewers
it is about a child who has trouble going to school and an angel comes to live with him.
many comic events happen and a devil and a talking cat end up living there too!
fun comedy with 26 episodes is full of value.
however, this show has an underlying dark side.
what they don't show in the anime but is insinuated is the main character has suffered a tragic past.
the reason the angel has come was to help him find meaning in life.
as the story progresses, the main character will find himself growing attached to the other lead roll character who is a devil. And there is significant reason for this as the tragic event revolves around... can't spoil it! Take a look at the series and decide if this is for you~su!
Amusing and fun

Usually I don't enjoy anime comedies centered around elementary school characters, because many tend to be dumbed down and make the kids seem stupid instead of lacking maturity / life experience, but Pita-Ten is one of the few which doesn't take that route. It simplifies the anime to aim at target audience of younger viewers without insulting the audiences intelligence while still holding plenty of comedy.
The story focuses on a boy who's numbed himself to the world after the death of his mother and an apprentice angel trying to teach and learn the meaning of happiness. Misha is a very positive and happy character who does her best but sometimes misses the mark with her over eagerness to help Kotorou find his happiness. The secondary characters, including an apprentice demon who's too nice to become a full demon, all play vital roles in the story.
After watching the anime I read the manga and while a good anime, it could have been 5 stars if followed closer to the manga version.
