The Pet Girl of Sakurasou Collection 2 DVD
About The Pet Girl of Sakurasou Collection 2 DVD
The Pet Girl of Sakurasou Collection 2 contains episodes 13-24.
The care and feeding of a pet girl is something only those with the most dogged determination should attempt, but Sorata Kanda never really had a choice in the matter. Tasked with keeping the acclaimed but highly dysfunctional and unfocused artist Mashiro Shiina from forgetting to eat, brush her hair, or wear clothes, it's been a long, slow battle to get to the point where he's reached a general understanding of her extreme quirks. Which doesn't mean that Mashiro doesn't still walk out of the dorm half-naked. It's just that Sorata now understands that it's going to happen.
Unfortunately, the whys, wherefores, and how-tos of comprehending the opposite sex aren't going so well on other fronts. Misaki's attempts to escalate her campaign to win Jin's affections take a disastrous turn, and Nanami's going to have to learn to come to terms with her feelings for Sorata while adjusting to the third wheel that is Mashiro. And then there's still Sorata's "problem" of picking up cats that he's not supposed to keep.

*sniff* An ending filled with true feeling

During my first review, I mentioned how this series has a surprising amount of depth.
The second half of this series takes that statement up a notch.
The fan service is still there, as well as the crazy hijinks of the various students. But at the same time, everyone deals with their own concerns about feelings both real and imagined.
The struggle of hard work and genius is real, and pushes things to the breaking point.
However, the ending stays true to the story, and may leave you with a satisfied tear in your eye. At least, that's the way it was for me :)
Plus, at this price, the value cannot be beat!
Hilarious, sweet, and charming

I was so surprised at this collection. The characters are interesting and funny, and you can't help but be drawn to them. The best thing though is that even with the over-the-top humor, this series has heart. I won't spoil anything, but if you aren't moved to near tears in the penultimate episode, you should check if your emotions are broken. In any case, I highly recommend this series. It is one you will watch many times without feeling bored.
