Must watch anime !

The story revolves around a second-year high school student named Sorata Kanda who lives in Sakurasou, the dormitory for problem children at Sorata's art school. One day, Mashiro Shiina, a kuudere cute girl who is a prodigy in the arts - moves into Sakurasou.

The first half of the story is about character development, there are undergoing changes while they try desperate to pursue their dreams , and then enters the picture the kuudere girl Shiina causing more mayhem for Sorata.

The animation is gorgeous and the soundtrack is catchy, this 24 episodes make its way extracting the best of the light novels, If you like school romantic comedy like Toradora this is just for you.

Beautiful to look at, corrosive to pay attention to

This dashed out looking like it was going to be the best "slice of life" series ever. Interesting characters, beautiful visuals, great music. Promises of friendship, romance, a celebration of Art. But then it left the rails, got lost in the woods and plunged over a cliff. The title character loses all relevance, a beautiful message gets replaced with anger and cynicism and the plot evaporates into little more than a soap opera. The ingredients for greatness were all there, but they got left on the counter and never mixed into the recipe.

Great Slice of Life Anime!

If you love slice of life anime you will most definitely like this! This anime was really well written throughout the series and grabs the audiences attention and gives you great emotional reactions. This anime portrays many situations that we are put in on a daily life and how many of us struggle to deal with failure and how we should approach it as you see the main character change through the help of his friends around him. Even though the ending seemed to lead to a second season, there seemed to be an issue with one of the scenes that lead the directors to not be able to dish out a second season. Worth watching!

One of the better romcoms out there, but the release could've been better (if it had a dub).

This anime has become one of the most beloved and well known romantic comedies in recent times. It has many lovable characters, cute moments and a very captivating art style. The setting is also great if you consider yourself a creative person that loves art.

Because this series is above average and all 24 episodes are included in this release, I'll give it 3 stars, but otherwise it would've gotten 1 star.

The problem with this release? Sub only. I believe that an anime publisher should at least bother to put some money into a dub when they put out a bare-bones release. No slipcover, no fancy extras, no nothing. You just get a plastic case and your BD discs, how nice. You might as well stream this online (when I watched it, it was on Crunchyroll). At least this release isn't split in 2 parts and you have the complete experience in 1 set...

anime show better when is english dub

booo no english dubbed

The Perfect Slice of Life

by -

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is definitely a must and in my opinion is the perfect slice of life. At the end of every episode, I was very eager to watch the next one, not because of cliffhangers but simply because the interactions between the characters were very interesting and thought out. My personal favorite character was Shina. She felt like had the most layers of personality that were slowly being peeled as the show went on. It's a great show and has everything a slice of life should have including comedy and some fan service.

I Love This Show

Love the show. I love how all of the main and secondary characters all have artistic-based dreams (i.e. voice acting, game design, illustration, animation, writing, etc.)
