Not a bad adaptation

by -

Obviously the anime/manga is going to be better, but this adaptation is not too bad. Scenes are switched around or changed a bit and important characters are excluded. And, most noticeable in the second part, they try to pack in as much as they could, so some scenes don’t make much of an impact as others. The CGI can be a little iffy at times, but one of the thing that irked me the most was that most of this movie was dark, lighting wise, so it’s kind of hard to tell whats going on. On the brighter side, I didn’t feel offended by this live action adaptation that some other ones have. Could it have been better? Yes, but I enjoyed it for what it was. And the dubs not that bad and they even got some of the voice actors from the anime dub to reprise their roles such as for Migi and Murano. Overall, not a bad attempt at a live action version, so pick it up if it looks good to you.
