Somehow Still Great

We are on book 13 now, and I'm constantly surprised by how consistent this author is. Every book adds more to the worldbuilding while somehow still remaining true to what has already been established, with constant references to look for if you keep your eyes peeled. Just like the last book, this one is largely told from a non-Ainz outlook. I do like reading these books from Ainz's perspective, but the books that are from someone else's perspectives are pretty fun too; you can look at his reactions and have fun figuring out what he Really meant and not just what everyone else Assumed he meant. I'd been looking forward to reading the second part of this arc for a year now, and thankfully it was just as good as I'd hoped it would be! Time to wait for 14.
Fantastic as always

If you're already 12 volumes in, you probably already know what to expect from this series. I like this volume a little less than some of the others, but it is still of very high quality. The painter art is amazing, and it's a well crafted hardcover book by Yen Press.
But the best part of the series will always be it's world building and main characters. It's very much a hi-fantasy epic, with the spin that the main characters are overpowered villains. The concept sounds hokey, but it is executed phenomenally.
If overpowered villain protagonists in a hi-fantasy setting + amazing world building + great art sounds appealing to you, then you should definitely give this series a try.
