A bit of a let down

by -

First of, I was very excited to start the series because I'm a fan of The Rising of the Shield Hero & Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. A bit similar in the MC finding themselves in a different dimension/world via magic/game transportation etc..
I've read the first 3 manga volumes and so far it feels repetitive in the actions of the MC, perhaps it gets better as the story progresses, but so far the plot has not impressed me. MC feels OP when he faces the enemies to the point that he's too cocky and we already know he's going to win, so there's no connection to him whatsoever. No struggle to reach the top.

i'm gonna read up to the 5th volume since I've purchased the first 5 and if nothing changes, I'm dropping this series. I had high hopes because of the hype within the community.
