OPM 1 is great!
One-Punch Man (OPM) is a very bad a** and comical manga. What makes it awesome is the top of the grade artwork that just makes my jaw drop, comedic moments revolving around Saitama, and impressive action sequences. The series isn't complex at all, so you don't have to use too much thinking power to dissolve this series. With all that said, their is a problem I have with this volume and potential volumes down the road and it isn't Viz's fault, but more so the mangaka's fault. Originally, when the chapters were published, Yusuke Murata (Mangaka of OPM), drew some moments that had "flip book animation". What I mean by this is that, he drew 5+ double spreads of back to back animated type panels. Can you imagine how fun it would be to flip through 5 pages of double spreads?!? Sadly he removed them though. What could have been a 10/10 turned into a 8.5/10
One punch man is awesome!
One punch man is an amazing manga. Not only is the artwork amazing, but the characters are extremely likeable. I know the story at first glance sounds a little boring, but it's very entertaining and easy to read. The enemies are all well built up and interesting. Though they all die in one punch not because they're fodder, but because saitama(main character) is just so much stronger than them. The fights in the manga look amazing and flow very smoothly from panel to panel. The manga is also pretty cheap for manga for only 7 and a half dollars, though I haven't bought much from viz media. If you're looking for a fun action manga with a lot of heart then one punch man is for you.
One Punch Man's manga is something I have been anticipating ever since Viz released the digital chapters back in 2014. Written by ONE and drawn by Yusuke Murata–who worked on the football epic Eyeshield 21–comes equal parts crazy high-octane action and hilarious slapstick comedy that's hard to find in quality such as this!
Saitama is your average super-OP protagonist who's gotten bored of never finding a worthy opponent. The execution of the panels are where the story shines the most alongside the quirky characters the hero meets along the way. The story is self-aware and is not afraid to show its hand as quick as it can, which can lead to some rushed sequences, but within all the wackiness is some surprisingly deep characterization that is hinted at throughout.
I say try it if you like a good laugh and some awesome action/cool characters, and hopefully something even more meaningful the more you explore Saitama's adventures!
He's just a hero for fun

When just looking at the cover I knew this would be really funny while also being action packed. Having a hero like saitama who is just overly powered while having a plain and boring personality is great. If you like to see a hero who wants to have a challenge in life but doesn't, you just might like this. The artist for this manga gives a lot of detail in his pages and makes it feel like its popping out of the pages. Also to people who watched the anime there's extra chapters with one showing how he was dealing with monster attacks and school problems.
An S-Class book for an S-Class hero (or he should be)

One Punch Man follows the adventures of Saitama, the strongest man alive who has chosen to be a hero, not for destiny or some contrived reason, but for fun. Unfortunately, he's SO strong nothing is exactly challenging or fun in his work as a hero. Fortunately, his reactions and attempts to find a true challenge in life make for great reading, and this is a series to keep an eye on.
A New Type of Hero
Saitama becomes the hero that we have never gotten to see before. A fresh new favorite that gets you excited for the next page.
Jumps right into the action, but maybe a little too fast
by Sean -
With a quick introduction to our hero Saitama, we are introduced to Genos, who quickly becomes a cybernetic fanboy to Saitama, begging to be his student. The joke runs a tad thin around the middle, but it picks back up and doesn't stop until the end.
Printed on the usual high quality paper, with nice clear images and text.
A HERO HAS ARRIVED!!!

Today I was so happy to receive One-Punch Man. The art is so clean cut that it looks like my new favorite heroes and villains will come right off the pages! The manga is so good, gives somewhat more of a backstory on Saitama, which is kinda funny when you think about how he is with the whole backstory thing. I kept hearing about One-Punch Man this and One-Punch Man that. I wasn't sure if it was going to be my thing so I watched the anime and from the first 3 minutes I was in love! I immediately went on to RightStufAnime.com and ordered this. This is a must for anyone really whether your into anime or manga. You can't go wrong with this series.

A very good action manga

It's a very good manga with a lot of action and comedy. The story is good too and not too complex
Glad I bought the set here
Flipped through the first few pages at a local big box and the art looked good so picked up the vol 1-9 set here to read over the holidays. Glad I did. First volume was top notch: action, humor, quality art, and a hot mosquito chick (that took a lot of imagination). Everything you want in a comic.
Murata is god

I received this volume as a bundle for the holiday sale and I must say this one is a great read. This manga is everyone who is looking for a shonen with awesome fight sequences. The characters are great to look at with Murata's art.

Not Funny at All

Honestly, I was very disapointed when I read this. This series, both the manga and the anime, have been recommended to me for quite a while, due to it's 'unique take of a superhero story' and 'how hilarious' it is. I personally did like the art style, and the character design I thought was actually kinda awesome. However, I found the story to be boring as I'll get out, and it tried WAY too hard to be funny. I especially felt the main character's insults towards the bad ways to be... phenomenally cringy, and overwhelmingly unfunny to the point where I just... ewgh. I felt everything about volume 1 was totally dumb, besides the art and physical choices of the charcter design (which was a little dumb, but in a charming way). There was almost no charm, humor, or interesting traits to be found in the protagonist.
One of my favorites
I absolutely love this series. I watched the anime, and liked it so much that I went ahead and bought the manga. I have all released titles, and am sad there's no more out yet. I can't wait for season 2 of the anime. This series is hilarious and I love it. Don't expect too much seriousness. This is straight up comedy.
