Here’s to many more great years of One Piece!

First off let me say that One Piece is my favorite anime and this special really made me want to watch all the other specials/movies and get caught up again (currently a couple arcs behind). The feature itself is what you would expect from these recap specials. It takes the first 61 episodes (excluding Logue Town) and condenses it into a 106 minute TV special. It does jump around a bit and pretty much just gives you the basics of each arc to tell the story, which isn’t bad, but if you are new to the series, it might seem a bit confusing, but it also gives you a taste of what this show is all about. If you are a veteran than this isn’t anything new, but still nice revisiting the beginning and with updated visuals. What this release also contains is a little less than an hour special documentary talking with the cast and crew of the English dub and how they got to where they are now. This was an absolute blast to sit through and I loved hearing what they had to say about One Piece.
