Amazing and Funny

Amazing and funny that’s all one has to say about this series. It a great twist to the old fairy tales you know along with humor and great characters with anime flare. One of the best thing in this series is the narrator is one of the best I heard in a series.

One of the best so far!

The series is completely worth the money, time, effort, and emotions. This is one of the best anime I have watched in a while. Deserves to stand in a line with all of the classics of animes, I would say. The story is simple, but entertaining, and heartwarming, besides interesting character development.

I had done some research on this anime, but quite disappointingly, there was and is no plan for a second season, so kind of a cliffhanger end right there, though the story, far as I know, extended beyond the end of the first season. Would love to see some extended development for this series. I'd be the first in line to get a set!

I enjoyed it, but it felt a bit off.

There were a lot of good things about Okami-san. The animation and art style were a joy to watch. I loved the character designs and their personalities and they weren’t just one dimensional. The show had a copious amount of moments, whether it be action packed or slow and sweet. But through all of this, there was something missing to make me really enjoy this one. Whether it have been that the story was a bit simple, or that I’ve seen this kind of set up before, but something was off. The plot with the main antagonist didn’t really conclude and it seemed like it ended too soon, like there was more of a story to tell with more episodes or a second season to come. But after 10 years, it’s a bit unlikely. And another thing, I did like the narrator, but there were many times when it would interrupt what the characters were saying, so it was kind of hard to follow either. The dub for this one was good at least. Overall, I enjoyed this one for what it was, even though it felt a bit off.

little RED

A great anime that everyone should at least try once. The first thing to know about this show, is that it is quirky. It takes fairy tale ideas that we know and makes them blend and mesh together. Similar to Princess Tutu but this show is far more fun and whimsical. The story revolves around a girl named Okami, and..you guessed it, her seven companions. One of which, her best friend is named Red...notice anything there? Anyway, the biggest flaw with the show is also one of the funniest things about the show. There is a narrator lady who talks randomly throughout each episode often times breaking the fourth wall and giving WAY too much information we didn't know we wanted to know about. The problem is she often does this at key moments drowning out the main cast making you want her dead so you can hear what your favorite characters are saying. Due to this alone it loses one star.
