Relatable and then some.

Really love this manga. Just wish the page count was higher.
Tomoko just wants to have the slice of life high school experience. Unfortunately, her anxieties and insecurities hampers any possibility of developing almost any healthy relationship.
This is reflected well in pretty much within each chapter where even though Tomoko is in a very populated world, she is pretty much the sole focus of attention to herself and the reader.
I laughed and cried at how similar some of the stories are to what I've experienced that are then dialed to eleven.

No Matter How I Look At It, I'd Recommend It!

by -

When i first heard of this series, I was expecting another one of those series with little comedy and more romance than anything, but upon reading the first book, I have truly grown fond of this series, mainly for it's highly relatable main character Tomoko Kuroki, who is your unusually embarrassed and anxious wallflower who as you guessed, wants to be popular. I'd personally recommend this series to those who either find themselves alone or those who are often embarrassed with confrontation with others, because this series can help those to come out of their shells in the most surprising of ways!
I'm thankful that I was able to get this series for such a cheap price on this site!

It Spoke to Me

By the time I learned this series it had already been canceled and restarted. I had old pictures of Tomoko, but never knew who it was. I started reading this series years later immediately recognizing her. I am a guy but I love her, not in a loli way, not my "waifu". Reading her story and as it has progressed make me wish I read it as I went through my issues of anxiety & depression. This 1st I have called "The greatest 1st Volume I have ever read". Awesome series would recommend to anyone, especially teens dealing with anxiety.

Of High School and Insecurities

by -

I'd been waiting for this series to be released in English, and it does not disappoint! Tomoko's a relatable character (albeit exaggerated) in her awkwardness and misunderstanding of social norms / interactions, from assuming high school means boys will automatically talk to her to experiencing envy of a friend's seemingly-easier adjustments to high school life. It's a story that will help anyone who's ever felt some modicum of awkwardness in their teenage years feel a little less alone in their fumbles!

Note: the book itself is high quality, with a spot-UV matte cover and well-managed trimming. Ink is even throughout. Should last a good while!
