Messy Samurai and Ninja Battles
by Crystal -
The story line for Ninja Resurrection is divided into 2 parts, The Cants of Hell and Hell's Spawn. The first one is about 35 minutes long and introduces Jubei, a powerful samurai and Shiro, a miracle child who will either become a holy warrior or the devil. The second one is about 40 minutes long and continues the events in the first one, but doesn't have a very good ending.
The script is well written and the animation is good, but being an older anime, some people may not like it. There is a lot of violence and some disturbing scenes of decapitation and a character who uses his entrails to kill people. There is also nudity and rape, so some viewers may want to avoid this feature.
The price was right and I'm not completely displeased with the purchase, but I was shocked by how violent this film is. If you can handle it and would like to see the film, it's worth the watch, but it's definitely not a movie for everyone.
