About Natsuyuki Rendezvous DVD

This Natsuyuki Rendezvous complete collection contains episodes 1-11.

Hazuki may be near-sighted, but he knows true beauty when he sees it. The delicate form of flower shop owner Rokka draws him in like a bee to honey. Hoping to cultivate a relationship between them, Hazuki takes a part-time job at her shop only to discover two huge thorns preventing the nurturing of any romance. The first, the fact that Rokka is still grieving for her late husband Shimao, would be enough to snip most men's ardor short, but it's the second that really threatens to make Hazuki's forlorn hopes wilt. While Shimao is most definitely deceased, he hasn't yet departed, and his spirit is still living in Rokka's apartment!

Only Hazuki can see him, which leads to a very strange romantic triangle indeed. Are Hazuki's chances with Rokka as dead as the man who still lives in her house? Or can he somehow make love blossom even though there's an interloper pushing up the daisies between them? One way or another, the ground's going to be rocky and someone or something's likely to get nipped in the bud!

Started out good

This anime had a very good first couple of episodes, it was interesting and somewhat unique. The reason I gave the show such a low rating is because it didn't stay consistent. It was so incredibly boring after about the 6th episode that I dropped it.

A very relaxing, but emotional anime

This is a great anime to watch if you just want a relaxing, but engaging story to follow along. This is a very slow paced anime that takes a lot of time to develop, if your expecting something dramatic to happen, it won't, and there are times it can get pretty boring, but it really is worth it in the end. I think it's a beautiful story, that has very nice animation and a very emotional ending. Let me just warn you, that if your into fun and exciting anime, this isn't the anime for you, but if you want a romance anime that follows the life of adults versus high school kids than I really do think you will enjoy this anime. Give it time, and this anime will warm your heart strings.

Especially grab it while its on sale for $5.00!

A Man's Slow, but Romantic and Emotional Journey

by -

Natsuyuki Rendezvous is a beautiful romance anime that is more aimed towards an older audience, this anime does not focus on a budding relationship between a pubescent high school boy and girl, like most anime from this genre, but between an older man who falls in love with a widowed florist.

With its unique story line, and beautiful story telling, you'll understand and get to know first hand the struggles each of the hardships our three main characters face.

Despite the fact that this anime is probably one of the most beautiful romance stories out there, there are still many flaws. The anime has very slow pacing, so at times, it does get boring and annoying to watch, and it will take time for interesting stuff to happen.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous is both amazing and enthralling, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a realistic romance with some supernatural elements added to it.

If you like shoujo meets real(ish) life type of story lines then you will love this!
It's got the perfect amount of funny, drama, romance, OMG what just happened, supernatural components to it and I would recommend it to all.

A Mix of Laughs and Tears

I have heard a bunch of different opinions in regards to this series, and after watching it, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, to keep it spoiler free, it's a series that has its share of funny and cute moments while also having emotional ones which I found pretty good. While the series is only 11 episodes, it is understandable that there are limitations in terms of character development and all, but the overall narrative remains well done. Story aside, the DVD set is what you usually expect from Sentai releases which is that it's simple and nothing too fancy, but for their price they're able to offer full series in one volume rather than multiple ones. Overall, I have no qualms about it.

Interesting But

In essence a love triangle between a widow, a co-worker and the ghost of her dead husband, that only the co-worker can see. It is in many ways a low key storyline as much about moving on as about love and aimed for a more mature audience. For the most part I liked the story but I was not so keen on the 'storybook' setting after the ghost takes over the co-workers body. It is still worth watching and has some humour mixed in with the more serious themes. If you can find it cheap its worth buying.

I didn't care for this one. The male characters aren't very likable and the ending seemed really sad.
