About Natsume's Book of Friends Seasons 1-2 DVD
This Natsume's Book of Friends Seasons 1-2 collection contains episodes 1-13 of season 1 and episodes 1-13 of season 2 plus a story guide leaflet.
Natsume has always been an outcast because he inherited his grandmother Reiko's ability to see yokai (strange beings that are invisible to most people). After moving to his grandmother's hometown and accidentally releasing a yokai who was imprisoned in a Lucky Cat statue, he learns about one of his grandmother's keepsakes, her "Book of Friends," which contains the names of the yokai she defeated, and allows its wielder to command the yokai named within.
Since then, his life has gotten much more hectic, and yokai now visit him on a daily basis, seeking to either get their names back or take possession of the Book of Friends.

Ratings & Reviews
The most wonderful series I have ever seen, full of feels, awesome story line, wonderful characters, even the villains you can't not like. Not to mention the animation is gorgeous!
The stories are beautiful and touching, the voice actors are absolutely brilliant and bring each character to life.
My number one absolute favorite anime.
There are very few anime that have touched me as much or like Natsume has.

I love this series it's one of my favorites! It has beautiful animation. It's about a boy who can see yokai and they bother him all the time. When he meets a yokai that was imprisoned he starts to become friends with most of the ones he meets. He goes on adventures that are almost always about the Book of Friends which was left to him by his grandmother and contains all the names of the yokai she beat. He wants to give all the names back.
Very addictive anime

One of the best feel good anime shows I have seen and I would strongly recommend it.
Happy to Finally Own the Series!

A wonderful series that I have enjoyed throughout high school to this day! The 4-star rating is not for the anime itself, but for the merchandise. Perhaps this was one of RightStuf's earlier works, but the disks in this DVD are stacked, one on top of the other. While this doesn't prove to be a major problem, it does get a bit annoying at times, and often I am afraid of scratching the disks.
Other than that, the quality of the show is great, as are the subtitles and main menu screens. I'm very happy to now own this series!
Beautiful and Soothing

This anime is beautiful, from the character designs to the backgrounds and music. The overall color palette is kind of water-color and it works wonderfully.
The episodes and stories mostly have a laid back feel to them, sort of relaxing. There are moments and episodes that are more hectic than others, but no matter what they manage to be entertaining and somehow soothing.
This is my absolute favorite anime. I am glad to own it and share it with friends. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys slice of life or anime involving the supernatural.
Anime for the Soul
I love this series. It is one of those series that you can just relax watch and enjoy.
I simply cannot recommend it more.
It follows a boy who can see Yokai "Japanse ghosts". Most episode's have their own little story which is nice so you don't have to binge watch until you get to a filler episode.
It still amazes me how each episode can just pull you into the story and really make you feel for whats going on.
Unfortunately, there is no Blu-ray for the first two seasons. So its nice they both are apart of the same package!
This should be on everyone's must watch list.
I enjoy this series so much I bought the full package so that I could share it with my friends and family.
I hope it will end up as one of those very special anime's for you aswell.
This anime will make you wish you can see Yokai!

I loved this series ever since I started reading the manga. Currently Natsume, has 6 seasons the first 4 I own due to the last 2 not being released. I enjoy seeing the new yokai and how Natsume and Nyanko-sensei(mandra) deal with each problem the youkai cause. If you like a good fantasy, without much for blood and set in countryside of Japan then I urge you to watch Natsume Book of Friends! I give this anime a review of 10/10
