About Natsume Yujin-cho The Movie Ephemeral Bond Blu-ray

Natsume Yujin-cho The Movie: Ephemeral Bond was directed by Takahiro Omori and includes a Nyanko-sensei sticker and illustration cards.

With the brand new, original story by manga artist Yuki Midorikawa, Natsume Yujin-cho makes its big-screen debut! For years, the series has been cherished by fans of both the original manga and anime for its heartwarming story and unique, yet loveable human and yokai characters. Re-discover the beautifully mysterious world of Natsume with this movie.

A kind yet sad lie was told.

Natsume has been busy, navigating between humans and yokai when he coincidentally reunites with an old classmate, Yuki. The reunion brings back painful memories of a certain yokai. Meanwhile, Natsume also becomes acquainted with Yorie Tsumura, a woman in the memories of a yokai whose name Natsume had returned. Yorie knows much about Reiko, and now lives a peaceful life with her only son, Mukuo. Interacting with this family is comforting for Natsume, but a mysterious yokai has been lurking in their town. On the way back from investigating, a “yokai seed” that had latched itself to Nyanko-sensei drops into the Fujiwara Family’s garden and grows overnight into a fruit tree. When Nyanko-sensei eats a fruit that is somewhat shaped like himself, he suddenly splits into three!

Beyond excellent in story and animation

by -

This movie is an excellent example of what you can expect from each season of Natsume. The story made me cry and struggle to decide who was in the right. The overall animation is top notch which is to be expected of this production company. Up to this point I have watch, and owned, all of this series released to this point (still missing Season 5 and 6; please release soon) and I promise you will not be disappointed if you love yokai and a great, heartfelt series.

Beautiful Story and Animation

Natsume Yuujinchou is my favorite anime, words can't describe the perfection and beauty of this series. I've been watching this anime since it came out and I'm still waiting to see if there'll be a next season. I was so happy to find out they made a movie I waited so long for it to come out subbed and now to own it on blu ray. If you love the series, you'll love this movie.

The little Nyanko senseis are adorable and you'll definitely tear up towards the end.

Stunning and Overwhelmingly Loved

I absolutely love this series from the bottom of my heart. The movie follows a 100% original story by the creator herself. The art throughout the entire movie is just spectacular and the small Nyanko-sensei's were so cute!! I highly recommend getting this movie as a part of your collection!!

Just A Relaxing Movie to Watch

by -

In this movie, events from the past have some impact to events in the present, as Madara eats a 'Spirit Fruit' that splits him into three. Natsume seeks help from Kaname in searching for the Yokai that can revert Madara back to normal, but when Natori plus two Exorcists are searching for a certain Yokai as well, it may not seem that simple a task.

This was a great movie. Enjoyable to see three tiny versions of Madara running around, and when one tiny cat goes missing, the way Natsume and Kaname team up with the other two felines to find the missing cat was absolutely adorable. And the movie felt just like a regular TV episode to me, except it's 104 minutes in length.

The extras are OK. You get a sticker sheet of the three felines, plus four art cards that are made of flexible vinyl type material that fits inside the BD case. Enjoy in 1080p / 16:9 video format.
