A History Lesson With Some Phantom Hunting

Really enjoyed this show when it came out about a year or 2 ago. When FUNimation announced they were releasing it with a dub, I was pretty excited to pick it up. The dub is pretty good too. I prefer subs but I have to say that the dub is very fun and natural sounding. Glad to have it in my collection.

Interesting premise

I followed this series when it first aired, and just recently picked it up. Probably not one of the better titles that Kyoto Animation has put out but it's not bad overall. The story does get disjointed at certain points and that is probably the easiest thing to pick apart, however it does a pretty good job pulling itself back together in the finale.

This title relies pretty heavily on some fan service elements, with the first episode having a very notable scene. I'm not one to knock that but in some instances I felt it was overkill.

Overall not the best KyoAni has put out.. but not terrible either 3 stars is pretty fair..

An interesting take on familiar themes.

1 part High School DxD, 1 part Pokemon, 1 part original thinking. I enjoyed this series and had hoped for more. As usual, once I find something I like, they cancel it. It had potential.
