About My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season 2 Blu-ray

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! contains episodes 1-13 of SNAFU season 2.

The stampede of recent events may have herded the awkward members of the Service Club into something closer to a real bonding, but the upcoming field trip to Kyoto threatens to reverse those tiny steps forward. Alongside a list of attractions to see, they'll also be taking along a lot of emotional baggage, and helping others with their personal and romantic issues may just cause the entire luggage rack to collapse.

Between Hachiman's growing realization of how much he can manipulate others, Yukino's underlying battles with responsibility, and Yui's shifting needs and insecurities, the tenuous thread that holds their relationship together is more fragile than ever.

Even as the path ahead is strewn with psychological traps, the feelings that each of them refuse to acknowledge may end up being the true pitfall in MY TEEN ROMANTIC COMEDY SNAFU TOO!

SNAFU combines great art and animation with writing so tight and funny it will hook you instantly if you give it the chance. Hikki is a much more fun and active male lead than the usual fare, and his twisted perspective is the source of much of the humor in the show. The show follows the journey of the cast, starting out more superficial as they first meet, but quickly delves into the interesting dynamics that grow as the characters for more and more complex relationships. Complex isn't a word I get to use often with this anime genre, but SNAFU earns it and then some.

Unfortunately this release is sub only, and covers the second season. The second season builds on the rock solid foundation laid by the first, with even more development, more comedy, and improved art and animation. I can't wait to get my hands on this release, and still hold out hope for a third season. There's plenty more story to tell.

One of the most profound and personal character dramas I've ever seen.

One of the single best character studies I have ever seen. SNAFU TOO, as I like to call it, is a, more than worthy, follow up to the first season. While it drops much of the comedy, and once again, subverts expectations that this is actually going to be a "romcom", SNAFU TOO brings out some of the most intense and personal character drama I've ever seen. This season also underwent a major staff and studio change, and you'll notice it in how it looks, but I think you'll be okay with it. Studio feel. responsible for not a ton else right now, has started to prove that they are very capable of this sort of title. Subtle character acting, and great visual direction just adds to how powerful and emotional this show can be. For the actual release, as usual with a Sentai SE, it is pretty barebones, but comes with all episodes on 2 BDs, and it looks great.
