Explains too little

by -

I’ve gotta be honest, didn’t care much how the story is being written. I’ve always been a rogue (D&D) fan so that got me to try this series, but it feels like that certain important details are just being skimmed over for no reason. Not to mention the grammar and wording on them every couple of pages is pretty bad too.

Good, but I want a little more

While I do think the pacing is more manageable compared to where it started, I still wish the characters were more developed, particularly the other two main students that have ties to Akira. There are teases of interesting dynamics and interesting plot points, but we have yet to really get any development of the characters or plot beyond more superficial details. I’ll likely pick up the next volume, hoping to get a bit more substance since the framework is more established now, but it probably won’t be a priority.
