This series is about as junky as I thought, but in a fun way. All the op-ness for the hero is explained in a game logic way. Clothing and food for our world give enormous stat boosts. Basically the nice guy main meets these girls and tries to pretend like he is an amazing guy. The connection to the dungeon through items representing his daily struggles in the real world make him strong in that one. Basic wish fulfillment, probably representing a person's retreat into the game world. A wild new elf magic girl shown on the cover is added to the bunch just because! In these times, maybe it is something we need a little of.
