About My Room is a Dungeon Rest Stop Manga Volume 1

My Room is a Dungeon Rest Stop features story by Tougoku Hudou and art by Takoya Kiyoshi.

Suzuki Touru has just scored an amazingly cheap apartment–but the reason it’s so cheap is the front door opens up to a classic fantasy dungeon! Luckily, Touru has always wanted to explore a dungeon. But when he stumbles across Ria, a beautiful blonde knight, he may well have gotten more adventure than he bargained for!

Standard Wish Fulfillment

Basic story: guy is normal but poor. Room opens into dungeon where real world stuff is powerful. Nice guy meets nice girls with a bit of platonic harem with flirting. Looks like the MC will gradually gain power through game mechanics. If you like the idea or are into that genre, then it seems ok. Not as dull as Death March to the Parallel World, but not as developed as other series. Good fun still so I will probably keep going.

Another Fan-Service Harem, Is It Worth Reading?

by -

Just finished the second volume before writing a review. This is yet another heavy fan-service harem manga with all the classic tropes of the genre. As the title states there is a dungeon attached to Touru's (not his real name) very cheap (of course) apartment. If the artwork and writing were only average I would not have given this the rating I did but I do feel both were done well. The character development starts to improve in the second volume and at the very end a comment is made that suggests there will be some adventuring through the dungeon, which has not happened as of yet aside from the entrance area. This one has potential and I plan to read further. As of now I would only recommend it to fans interested in another harem manga, the adventure part is still in question.

I really in love with this series. I want more of it! You will probably like it as long as you're open to a pretty casual series. Happy, and upbeat, sort of thing with some fan service. It later turns into an adventure. I've been recommending this to everyone I know.
