A Lovey-Dovey good first volume.

by

Beautiful. A great cook. Protective. Loves to make you happy. An assassin. What more could you want in a wife?! This is Setsuna, a woman that comes from a whole family of assassins. In this first volume, we start to get to know her and her husband, as well as a couple other characters.

After what seems like taking a fast path to getting married, Setsuna and her husband just appear to be getting used to the domestic married life. They are a somewhat awkward but adorable couple that really care for each other, but need time to grow as a couple.

I went through a couple “awee” and mini-lol moments. The art is cute, and there are surprises here and there that keep the story going and fun. The only drawback on this volume, was there was a lot of just mundane things going on just to get the idea across that she is new to domestic life.

There was no hiding that she is an assassin. Her husband knows it and is totally ok with it, which kind of makes for some fun. Can’t wait for more!

Cute and Wholesome as heck

Despite the wife being an assassin, this is still mostly cute and wholesome as heck. If you like stuff like Hitomi-Chan, Furi-San, Dangers in my Heart, or if you like wholesome rom coms in general then I'd recommend this

"Because serial killers are people too".

Though while that web-comic aims at gorey humor, this manga mostly leaves the killer's work in the background and is about the fish-out-of-water efforts of a person outside normal society trying to fit in enough to please the man she fell for.

The couple is deeply in love, and the series is (so far) entirely about the interaction of the couple with each other. Not about the work-life, but about how a lifetime of it has shaped views and perhaps some things need to be unlearned.

This is essentially a newspaper comic strip in format, suitable (unlike the comic in the review's title) for kids.

A third humor, a third feel-good-fluff (/ romance fanservice), a third cuteness fan-service, this is more a drama-less emotional pick-me-up slice-of-life that uses comedy than a gut-buster.

If you're looking for a smile to start your day as you eat breakfast, this volume is perfect.
