if you're looking for an anime with a scary-looking but strong real man type that is also hilarious, you've found your match! Poor Takeo (who is HUGE and kinda scary looking at first) can't seem to be lucky-in-love. His best bud Suna seems to have all the luck with cute girls. But a chivalrous act ends up getting him a girl that likes him despite his big macho exterior. At the same time, Takeo wants to keep her happy but is totally clueless-and let the adventures begin. This anime has laughs and heart! ADD THIS TO YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!

I have never been able to watch an episode of this series and not been in a good mood afterwards. It's a beautiful, funny story and the product itself is high quality and avoids that problem where it doesn't match the HD streams of the series. 10/10 worth every penny.

In most anime of this genre, the match up is long and drawn-out (if it even happens at all) and My Love Story refreshingly doesn't do that, instead having a plot centering around the challenges they face separately and as a couple.

The storytelling is brilliant, the music is wonderful, and the main characters are incredibly cute and manly, respectively. The comedy is top-notch and had me squeeing from how good it was. I definitely recommend this series.

I've never seen the show myself (not much into Shoujo) but my sister is all about that stuff. I bought this as a xmas gift for her and if her squeals are anything to go by I'd say she was happy with it. She gushed on and on about how adorable the Takeo guy was lol.

I have only heard great things about this anime, and those things were all true. This anime has made me laugh and cry, tears of joy, so much~!

I did not expect to love this series as much as I did. Despite hearing good things, I was expecting a typical anime love story. This is nothing of the sort. Rather than having a "romance" that builds up with the main characters expressing their feelings at the end, the show essentially begins with the characters starting to date and we get to see their relationship progress from there. I have never enjoyed a romance between two anime characters more.

This story very clearly focuses on a romance. What seperates it from so many other shows is the humor in this. I dont know how many times i laughed till i cryed during this show, but i know i am willing to watch it again to try and count. Takeo is the most likeable MC in a long time. Hes tough, cool, and weird as possible. And Rinko is so stinkin cute you cant stand it. You owe it to yourself to watch this.

The story of My Love Story hits close to home and I can relate so much to the main character. I knew just by the small clips I saw beforehand that I would love this one. There are a lot of “lovey dovey” moments, so beware, but I loved them. And with 24 episodes, it felt like the right amount of episodes. Nothing felt rushed and the ending played it safe. It didn’t leave on a cliff hanger and not many big plot points open, but it did make you want to see more. So reading the manga would probably be a good choice as well. Sentai did an awesome job dubbing this one, but I did notice a few times when a character was beginning to talk and no words were coming out. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it.

I knew about this anime for awhile and was looking for a complete series and was so happy to find it here. A love story about a gentle giant and a pure hearted girl that sees through the tough exterior is lovely and the comedy has me laughing every time. You will not regret this purchase.

If you like light-hearted romances, then this is likely a great show to keep you entertained. Takeo's reactions to most situations alone are enough to keep you laughing, and his back-and-forth moments with Suna are usually amusing too. Rinko is all sorts of precious, and it's nice that her relationship with Takeo doesn't get dragged down in melodramatic teenage angst. They're adorable together as they spend time and get to know each other.

There are some relatively light "drama" points spread among the episodes. But they don't get too heavy, and I felt they were realistically and gently dealt with. But I didn't much care for what happens in the last couple episodes, just because it felt like an annoying attempt to include the trope of having a sudden "rival in love" appear on the scene. The only reason I was willing to put up with it is because the end of that arc is never really in doubt. And it does result in a very sweet little "payoff" moment to end the series.

An adorable romance/comedy/slice of life title with the couple being a bit opposite of each other. After just one episode, I was hooked. Even after finishing it, I wanted to see more. Was happy to find the Manga goes further into the story. Definitely check it out if you want more My Love Story!

As far as the anime goes, I felt it was a pretty great series overall. The characters are well developed and likeable. Bright and colorful imagery. Plenty of cutesy scenes, and lots of laughs. I found myself rooting for Takeo more and more as it progressed.

If you like Say I Love You, From Me to You, or just romance/comedy/slice of life, I recommend this series.

A surprisingly good anime. Everytime I buy I pick a random anime i'm unfamiliar with thats on sale. I got this on sale quite a while ago and thought I would say it is very enjoyable and a nice happy anime. By far the best random purchase I made. I also now suggest to anyone I talk to who enjoys a good rom-com this. No spoiler info here worth every cent i spent on it, I also bought extra copies for gifts.
