Tighter pacing than the anime

by -

If you watched the anime and want to pick up where it left off, it stops a little over halfway through volume 3. One of my greatest complaints with the anime is that it not only had recaps, previews but even multiple flashbacks that made me sick of seeing 3 second clips on the 4th or 5th time. The manga doesn't have that problem in the slightest and thus bumps it up to a 9 for me. It's just as great as the show was as it transitions into a tournament arc. One thing that I love that isn't present in the anime are the author notes between wherein he describes his characters cool concepts and how he wishes they could fit into the story better.

ua sports festival arc

by -

this manga volume was the sports festival arc or at least part of it. super interesting! if you have seen the anime, you really should read the manga. the pacing is a little faster but you get a lot of back information that the anime doesn't show. still awesome though!

Enjoyed it!

I’m very new at collecting manga in general I love the anime series. But when you grasp the intensity in the manga it’s very awesome I really love the feeling of excitement and reading the manga. Can’t wait to get more.

Sport Festival

Can’t say much overall due to barely starting the manga off but so far I’m really loving this arc and can’t wait to see what the author brings next to the table. Honestly I love getting introduced to new characters and learning their quirks as well. Great read and would definitely recommend
