My Villain Academia

by -

Great volume which delves into the backstories of some of the villains, and pushes them to their limits. With this volume, it feels like the next step is being taken in the story, and it'll be interesting to see what the villains do next, especially against Deku and his friends. The action and pacing could be a tiny bit better, but otherwise this is a must-read if you've been following this series.

Arguably my favorite arc in the series

by -

Admittedly, I am usually biased towards villains/antagonists in stories. I always find them to have more interesting backstories and characters overall. The "My Villain" arc is one of my top favorite arcs in the series without a doubt. This volume doesn't quite get to the end of the arc but man do I love what Horikoshi did with the villains in this volume.

Shigaraki's backstory is chilling, and as a fan of Horikoshi's art style, it just added to the dark atmosphere he was looking to create. I truly enjoyed this volume. I love the cover, I love some more depth for Toga, Twice, Shigaraki and others. Would 100% recommend if you are a fan of the series.

Might be My Favorite Volume So Far!

by -

When I first heard about my villain academia, I was put off. I wanted to keep reading about class 1-A; however, watching the members of the league of villains evolve throughout the volume made me enjoy and appreciate MHA even more. Horikoshi is really outdoing himself, and I would recommend that all MHA fans buy this ASAP!

Turning point for MHA

by -

This feels like a great turning point for the MHA series. Although the series has been great so far, I feel like giving the villains the spotlight, it gave the series a great opportunity to grow its characters a lot more compared to many other villains compared to other series. The artwork feels like it was stepped up, and the conver is done amazingly.
