Ratings & Reviews
One of Funimation's best quality LEs

This product is definitely one of the nicest funimation limited edition blurays. The box itself has a glitter texture instead of the standard gloss case and includes everything in one nice package. The story is what you expect just looking at the case itself, but if you are interested in laughs and fan service, this is the series to go for!
Gals are Girls Too

The boxing looks soooo Lovely and the art book very informative. The post cards are amazing and shimmer under the lighting. The anime is one of the finest I ever seen.
It reminded me of shows such as Prison School and Maken-Ki
My first girlfriend is a Gal is a romantic comedy that focuses a bit more on the comedy than the romance. And if you’re watching the dub, it bumps up the comedy even more. I went back a couple times between the sub and dub, and honestly you might want to watch this series twice if you enjoy it. The dub adds more references and extra lines that weren’t present in the sub, but still maintains the overall plot and key plot points. The show itself is pretty good, although a little off at times. Some of the characters can be unpleasant at times, but other times make me laugh and feel for them. And by the end of it’s 11 episodes (including ova), I just wanted to know what happened next. Overall, this is a pretty funny romance anime, but I just wanted a bit more romance. The packaging and extras of this limited edition are pretty nice and if you’re willing to spend a little more, I’d say get it.
