Gyaru does cosplay
by Betta -
To be fair, I'm a complete sucker for any series with wholesome gyarus. Sono Bisque Doll definitely left an impression amongst others of the genre like Gal Gohan or Mega Cutie. It's a fluffy romcom with some echi and heaping side order of wholesome. If you're into 'healing manga' this one does the trick
Dress me up
by Selena -
Really enjoyed this manga it’s not what I expected when it said mature I was expecting a girly manga. But it’s both and super edgy really calming manga with a funny story of dressing up. I really enjoyed this.
Great read super fun!

I enjoyed this! Will preorder the next volume Haha. I feel this is a fun book to read for cosplayers in their 20's
I feel the conversations and reactions are relatable when you have a waifu or husbando. The things discussed, like the process of making a cos and just the things this girl says are so relatable. Honestly feel the mangaka did good research on cosplayers. I went to Ikebukuro and looked at cosplay/ wig shops and I was surprised to see this place was mentioned in the manga. I feel it's sorta got that Wotakoi feeling but following HS students. Its also a otaku/ cosplayer trying to cram info into someone that knows nothing about this hobby lol.
Lighthearted and adorable

This is surprisingly adorable! The dynamic between the main characters is super cute. Even with the amount of skin shown it's always tasteful and more about the cosplay, the love for the characters, and attention to detail, than nudity. I normally turn away from the more bubbly female characters but I cant help but like Marin Kitagawa and her extreme confidence. I love how supportive and accepting the characters are with the others interests. The jokes are funny and hit well. Its a a great start with a lot of potential. I will definitely be reading the next books and I've already recommended it to friends! It's definitely worth the purchase!
Unique

I haven't read much manga that displays people cosplaying so reading this was interesting. The main characters are a funny pair and it does a good job of focusing on the aspects that go into cosplaying for a beginner. I've never cosplayed before but it was easy to read and understand the cosplaying content. I can't wait to read more!
An anti social teen boy is force by accident to be friends with a popular girl who loves cosplaying.
by Francisco -
Fun read about a boy with no friends who befriends the schools popular girl in love with cosplaying as an eroge character but lacks the skill to make Dresses for said character so she enlist the loner who is good a making Hina doll clothes for help. Very little Ecchi, but a lot of awkward teen moments. Will continue to read and review.
A cute romance
by Thomas
A very cute story about learning to express your feelings, amongst a lot of teen romance antics. It’s a very sweet series so far and a great addition for anyone who enjoys the shy boy befriends popular girl trope.
Weird.
by Ray -
The story and plot is honestly really good; an introverted boy becomes friends with the popular girl and ends up helping her with her cosplays. It's cute to see their relationship grow. But... this is a story about sophomores (at least the main character is like 15) and the art sexualizes the girl.. a lot. I'm just not comfortable reading a manga showing a 15 year old girl like that :/ I'm not sure why everyone else is okay with it.
Had to buy after watching the anime
by Jeronimo -
This manga is great. It arrived safely sealed in plastic wrap. It is bigger than a usual manga. There was no dents or scratches. The story between Gojo and Marin is adorable. I can see why the anime was so successful. I even got volumes 2,3, and 4. Please read this manga and watch the anime. No regrets.
Great manga for hobbyists
by JOHN -
I'm coming in here to buy the manga after having seen the anime. I found myself really enjoying the show and relating to the characters, largely because I also have a hobby (not cosplay) that involves crafting things and taking them to events for display and performance. Watching Gojo and Marin go through their first effort together, making a costume and heading to their first event, afterward noting all the little things that could be improved for next time, and trying something a little different with each costume all reminded me of myself when I was getting started in my hobby. It brought a smile to my face the whole time I was watching it, and I get the impression that the author has personal experience with a craft-type hobby as well. I think people who practice some kind of craft will be able to get some enjoyment out of this.
