Black Butler meets Sherlock

I'm pleasantly surprised. It's like Black Butler meets Sherlock (from Titan Comics) sans the supernatural aspect. It's an intriguing take on "crime investigator" and clearly demonstrates how Moriarty grows into the power and connections that he does, and how and why someone like Sherlock would interest him so much. It's probably worth noting that the chapters are self-contained with the broad overarching story carrying over but a different case each time.
The Lord Of Crime

A great retelling of the famous Lord of Crime and Master Detective. It's really good at following the original source mattering from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original work of the characters. I highly recommend this manga and anime, truly a great time. I will be buying the other volumes.
Moriarty

I heard that this manga was going to get an anime, so I decided to try out the manga before the anime was released. I really enjoyed the story so far, especially the characters. I personally think that the characters that have appeared so far are interesting enough for me to continue reading onto the second volume. If you're interested in stories that revolve around morality and class distinctions, I think you'll enjoy this manga.

I think the manga was amazing. It is an interesting way of telling Moriarty side of the story of why he hates Sherlock so much and his past. I just finsihed the manga and I already want to buy the 2nd one coming out soon. I can't way to see how the story progresses.

If you're into books about crime, mystery, and set in the past, this is a series I would definitely recommend. Moriarty is such a well written, morally grey character, and I really love how we get to see his side of the story with Sherlock.

Loved this book! I saw that this series was getting an anime, that’s how I was introduced to it. I enjoyed black Butler a lot and the two series have a similar aesthetic or vibe, given they both take place in England a couple centuries back. The story seemed like one I would enjoy, and I wanted to read the manga before watching the anime. Haven’t watched the anime yet, but I’m so glad I picked up this series. I’ve already ordered the second book and can’t wait for it to be delivered!
