One of the best "under the radar" anime
by Enoch
I was recommended to watch this as "one of the better anime you've never heard of" type of thing, and it delivered. The artwork is original and unusual in a perfectly fitting way for the type of classic horror story that this is, based off of Japanese mythology, with a Twilight Zone type of vibe. Gritty in all the right ways, and tense throughout, a good thriller.
Experimental Masterpiece
by Austen
I had originally discovered this series when it was uploaded on Hulu. At first it was disturbing, and it might be for you as well. However, the style here is just beautiful. I kept watching and became obsessed. Mononoke combines fantasy, horror, an experimental design, and a bit of history. Well worth the buy.
