Good release

by

The transfer is good and contain film grain with out losing fine details.
Similar to the collection 1, it is too bad that they could not get the original op/ed.
Overall good release worth for every gundam fans.

Good release

MSG:Z set two follows up some well done episodes from the first set, and is presented in similar quality as the first.

The English dub is the same used for the original Bandai Ent DVD releases, but in high bit rates.

Subtitles match the more accurate subtitles from the corrected Bandai Ent discs (if you don't know, the original release from Bandai Ent was essentially dub titled), which is a good thing.

Video quality is good, with high-ish bit rates. Given the original source material, grain is to be expected and is maintained.

Wish we could have gotten the original op/ed track, but at least we still get the show even if they couldn't license the song.

Op/Ed credits are in English, matching the original DVD releases.

Great show, decent release.

Zeta on Bluray!

by -

If you enjoyed the first part of Zeta, you must get the second! One of the only downsides (for me) was that the ending left me wanting more. As if I was only done with half of my piece of cake and then someone took it from me! Luckily (or unluckily depending on who you ask) there is Gundam ZZ that continues after Zeta!

Along with the first part of Zeta, this set looks very good on Bluray. So if you had the original Bandai DVD release, this is a worthy upgrade. Zeta is a fantastic series, and to see it look this great is a pleasure!

great series and blue ray port, bad packaging.

by

i gave this a 5 out of 5 anyways just because this series is great. I love this series and the writing, plus the blue ray features but when i opened the package the plastic on the cover ripped off along with the outer plastic. I guess i need to be more careful when opening these in the future : /.

Universal Century Timeline Greatness. Rightstuf did it again. Such as fantastic HD transfer!

by

Epic conclusion to the sequel of the original Gundam series. I am huge fan of the English dub on this series. The HD transfer is excellent. The image is crisp, while maintaing its necessary grain. Please look for other Yoshiyuki Tomino works as this man is simply a creative genius.

The Gundam Series of Gundam Series!

by -

Where do I begin with Collection 2 of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam?

We're now halfway through the series, and the story's momentum picks in Collection 2. Kamille and Jerid's rivalry intensifies with each passing arc, Scirocco comes to the forefront of the conflict, and Neo Zeon/Axis come into the picture. One aspect of Zeta Gundam that really stands out is how Tomino develops (and kills) characters. Not all episodes contain battles, yet when we have exposition episodes--it only deepened my investment in the characters and seeing the conflict through to the end. The final arc is insanity and you really feel the costs that war brings upon the world and individuals. I won't give it way if you're new to the series, but Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is, to me, an essential series to have in your collection.

Part TWO of the classic series!

by -

This is a great no frills set for part TWO of the classic series. It contains the final 25 episodes. The opening is apparently different from the original because of legal reasons, but thankfully the new music still has me humming along so it wasn't a huge loss. It contains textless intros/endings and both a sub and a dub. Overall, I was very pleased with the set. (I was glad to have gotten this set as well during Right Stuf's big birthday special.)
