Not always as HD as I'd like + other minor issues, but still a good enough show

by -

I'll get to the point: some scenes... they just look bad in HD. I had to go and watch the show streaming to make sure there wasn't something wrong with the disc, but the product I got matches what I see elsewhere. So yeah, it is what it is I guess.

Other minor issues: the new dub does doesn't quite pronounce the names the way they do in the original Japanese. (now pronounced Kira Ya-MAH-Toe, Lacus is La-Cooze). If that doesn't bother you, from what I heard myself the rest of the dub is pretty decent (although lesser for no Lisa Ann Beley returning as Ramius). Also, random Unicorn references in the Haro dialogue?

The last minor issue for me is the DVD menus: when searching by chapter/episode, you don't see the episode titles, only the numbers. It's inconvenient having to remember what episode number you were on instead of the episode name.

But these are relatively minor issues. Seed itself is still a pretty okay Gundam, and this set lets me own it.
