Nice and relaxing.

For those unfamiliar this is a slice of life show that really isn't about baseball. The baseball is there to help play with tension and move the narrative forward. This show is about young people growing up, friends, family, and implicit hints of young love. It's safe to watch with younger teens although there is a small shower scene that isn't crude by any means. The show is well paced, and mostly character driven. No worlds to save or serious bad guys to defeat here. The show's mood is very much like sitting on the pack porch, relaxing and sipping on some iced tea on a nice spring day.
If you love Adachi's other manga or anime this is a no-brainer purchase. Not quite as good as "Cross Game," it could've been had they added some more episodes. The end of part 2 isn't neatly wrapped but it does feel like an ending to a chapter of sorts. Even so, the ride there is both relaxing and binge-worthy anime.
