About Mitsuboshi Colors Blu-ray

Mitsuboshi Colors contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Tomoyuki Kawamura.

This world has lots of problems, but after doing grown-up things all day, adults never have the time or energy to fix them! Kids, on the other hand, have LOTS of energy and lots more free time as well. That's why Yui, Sat-chan and Kotoha, three elementary school girls who live in Ueno, have formed COLORS, a secret organization that protects their town from whatever real or imagined menace happens to catch their attention.

A monster cat who's also a cat burglar? They're on the case! A horrible surplus of bananas? They'll sell the case! And a bomb that needs diffusing? Well, they might need a little help on that one, just in case! The local cop might think they're a nuisance, but everyone else can sleep better tonight knowing these three heroines are saving the world!

Fun and Entertaining...

by

The description pretty much covers it but I just wanted to add that I really enjoyed watching this series especially when the girls are harassing the local cop and the many adventures they get into sometimes started by one of the local shop keepers they call pops. Theirs no violence or fan service so i'm kinda curious why this is rated 14+ I would recommend this for Kids the age of the main characters which looks to be about 8yrs old I'd say PG at most. I've given a 5 rating on here and give an 8.5 on a 10 scale and recommend it for any age I certainly enjoyed it.

These colors have faded

When I read the description, I thought this anime was going to be a slice of life anime in the same vein as Non Non Biyori (except in the city). It does have a few similarities, yet it is nowhere near the quality of Non Non Biyori. The main characters are ok, their adventures are cute and non offensive, and the supporting cast does add a little bit of fun. The biggest drawback to Mitsuboshi Colors is how cheap the show looks. Environments look like they photographed a real place and added some filters. It makes it so the main characters appear to be on top of the environment rather than a part of it. Pedestrians would be either static or generic CGI. Character models frequently dip in quality. They also overuse montages of static images to pad out the run time. I would be more willing to overlook these flaws, if the series was not so boring. Skip this one and (if you have not already) buy Non Non Biyori instead.
