First airing on Japanese TV in 1981, Miss Machiko is a spirited, screwball sex comedy for junior high kids that caused an uproar with PTAs across the nation on its debut—but decades later, it remains a cult favorite. A Classic Teacher anime

Miss Machiko takes the 'new teacher helping out students' storyline and adds perverted hijinks into the mix. The show is mainly episodic with some development carried on in subsequent episodes. It's sense of humor is pretty perverted, with many skirt flipping and chest grabbing, but it comes from a childish place that they never get too mature with even with all the nudity. Machiko herself has a welcoming and fun personality that holds the whole show together. If you like teacher anime, then this is definitely one to look into.
The product itself is released by Discotek which put quite a bit of effort into their products. It has a slipcase cover and the actual bluray box has a different cover design with the inside having more artwork. The only downside of this set is the picture quality at 480p, but this is understandable considering how old and obscure of a series it is that it would not have an HD version.
