Centuries after the people of Earth master interstellar travel, humanity is thriving across the galaxy. Star Wars rip off (?). Well not necessarily 'cause the producers do it with style!

by

Star Wars was partially inspired by GL from the "Hidden Fortress" among other things so it comes full circle that the Japanese also took inspiration from the former.

Message from Space is a fun campy run you'd expect from what we now love as sentai. It's got great typical canned fights using the sai melee weapons. Only the "jedis" here are masked outlaws doing good anonymously. They also have the prerequisite "beast" friend, mini robot and a mysterious "Princess" of sorts who gives the three protagonists the keys to the Liabe (Millennium Falcon clone) which splits into three ships if you count them.

Hint/spoiler, the faceless, seen only as a " talking neon light up mask at first emperor" in this story ain't one who is an old and craggy lump but actually is related to (very closely) to one of the characters (easy on the eyes) I mentioned. "Sibling rivalry has plunged the galaxy into chaos on such shallow reasons."

Recommended for sentai live action toy sponsored show fans.
