In the not-so-distant future, the people of earth have expanded their frontier into the solar system. And now, we're under attack! Advances in physics and genetic engineering have created astonishing new flying war machines and pilots with a wide array of enhanced abilities.

Young Izuru has been chosen to lead the hapless Team Rabbits into battle against the sinister Wulgaru forces. Spearheaded by the cold and savage Prince Jiart, these dark invaders possess both superior firepower and technology, as well as an unwavering thirst for earthly destruction. It will be up to Izuru and his brash band of misfits to vanquish the enemy and save us all... if they don't kill each other first.

Nothing Special . . . Yet

by -

Here we have another seemingly generic mecha series. This volume boasts solid visuals and sound, but just screams mediocre or cliche almost everywhere else.

The elements are here for something special, but the characters appear one-dimensional, the plot pedestrian (and oh-so-predictable), and even the art is a bit of a mixed bag. Frankly, only the unique-looking enemy and mecha designs really stand out.

If that's all there was too it, I'd recommend a pass, but this is one of those series that turns over a new leaf around the midway point, and the first volume provides critical building blocks for the second.

So, if you either eat up anything mecha or don't mind sitting through many episodes of mediocrity to get to a solid payoff, it just might be worth it.

A surprising gem of sci - fi !!!

by -

I really enjoyed this series more than I thought I would. The main screen is a little difficult to navigated because if you check the Japanese audio it plays English and English plays Japanese. The audio is good and clear, the picture quality is clear. The story is very entertaining with a good blend of science fiction and comedy. I was a little disappointed with the story because they really never explained why the main characters back stories clearly enough and the end is somewhat ambiguous. I would have like for a more clearly defined ending, but overall it was very entertaining and I recommend it to anyone who likes science fiction.
