Funny but Repetitive
by ANOMANO -
When I read the first chapter in a Viz sampler long ago, I found it charming. The characters came to life in a goofy setting in school; main character Misaki is tough but is also easily embarrassed and bad boy Usui is perfect at everything.
Unfortunately, as I purchased the book and read on, the scenarios of Misaki acting foolishly and Usui saving her at the perfect moment each time became so repetitive, it wasn't even fun anymore to keep reading.
It's good for some chuckles but you'll probably have to wait a long while for anything interesting to happen.
Cute, lighthearted, cliche, and repetitive, but still good
by James -
This manga series so far in the first omnibus has more comedy than romance and scenes are very cliche and repetitive which leaves me to think only good things will happen even when trouble comes along.
The artwork in this series is not very detailed with any emphasis on the background/scenery, leaving the pages with a lot of white.
I watched the anime before reading the manga and it captured the first few volumes well so I feel like my enjoyment was minimized by the anime, which was a good show.
This series with it's flaws is still good, but the main takeaway is that this is a average cliche romcom of a strict girl slowly catching feelings to the guy whose always there for her. It's cute, lighthearted, and if you want a taste of it, you definitely should watch the anime.
Best romance manga ever! (My opinion)
by Kira -
This is one of my favorite romance manga of all time! The art style in the beginning is very unique and will develop over time to create a sexy male lead partnered with a tsundere female lead. This series glued a smile to my face and had me falling in love with the main romance interest Usui.
I would totally recommend this series to anyone who's interested in romance anime. It's truly heartwarming to see the characters develop from a cold class president who hates all men and the perverted alien from planet pheromones (weird reference from the manga) to the most adorable couple in all of anime history!
Maid sama is a good shoujo to read!
by Ashley -
Maid-Sama is a shoujo manga with the main character Misaki man-hating female. She goes to a school with an 80% boy ratio so she tries to get more girls into the school because shes the student council president. She works in a maid cafe and one of the students from the school found out. Then we follow the story of Misaki and Usui so If you like shoujo then this manga is just for you. It made me laugh, and made me smile and a good manga to read
YES TO MAID SAMA
by Isabella
Super cute! Honestly I fell for Usui ALL over again. Plus, this is in the top 5 shojo in my opinion. the two mc's are MAID for eachother!! (I hate that I just made that pun.)
Re-read and re-watch

I watched the anime… and then watched it again… and again and then I bought the manga and I do not regret it at all. I love this series I like how the main leads are both strong but vulnerable. I couldn’t put it down and am excited to read the rest of the series!
A great manga!
by Diana
This is a great classic, it's very convenient because it's a two-in-one manga, and if you have a small bookcase, not a lot of space, or just don't want to carry a lot of books when your moving them this is a great option and the story is good, and i love how they put a strong woman as the main charater.
